PORT ENGINEER (PE)

Job Function :

Under the direction of the Technical Superintendent, the Port Engineer Organises & directs activities to provide efficient & effective maintenance for tugs, barges, floating cranes & special vessel, operated by the company within Indonesia.

Education :

* Marine background, ATT III

Previous Experience

* Two years offshore experience as a Chief Engineer or equivalent

Prerequisites :

* Good oral & written communication skills
* Overall knowledge of marine operations
* Can conduct an accident investigation
* First Aid Lvl 2 certified
* Knowledge of the methods, practices & procedures for vessel maintenance
* Knowledge of the BV / GL / ABS & KI class requirements
* Skilled in mechanical & electrical troubleshooting.
* Demonstrated ability to speak & write effectively in English
* Ability to communicate effectively with third parties
* Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise a team of mechanics, electricians & welders.
* Demonstrated ability to understand technical drawings & manuals.
* Proactive.
* Demonstrates the application of e-mail, MS Word and XL software.


General Duties & Responsibilities :

* Understands and promotes the company Safety Procedures.
* Promotes the use of PPE at the work place.
* Ensure that tools, equipment & environment at the work place are compliant with the company safety procedures.
* Performs other duties as assigned,
* Ensure that the availability of his vessel(s) maintained at optimum levels.
* Promotes work safety discipline in accordance with the company Safety Management System.
* Actively promotes the routine use of the electronic Maintenance Management System.
* Promotes industry best practice in work methods.
* Ensures sufficient spares & materials are held on site to support planned & breakdown maintenance.
* Actively participate in the budgeting process & the ongoing monitoring of expenditure.
* Liaison & supervision with contractors on warranty, maintenance & modification work.

PORT CAPTAIN (PC)

Responsibilities :

* Manages barging daily operations
* Assist Business Unit Manager Tug & Barge when Operations Superintendent os off duty
* Prepare daily operations report from voyage tracker, compare with Radio logbook and reconciles the data
* Goes on board if necessary
* Ensure that vessel Masters use voyage tracker accurately
* Liaise with Insurance coordinator, class survey coordinator and HSEQ for vessel documentation update / renewal
* Maintain ISM checklist
* Calculate demurrage and dispatch for each project
* Control receipts of payment by the vessel : consumables under allowances, agency fees, water and petty cash (for SPB)
* Ensure that vessel masters knowledge of Barging Operations procedures is up to date and that they operate the vessels under these BOP

Qualification :

* Minimum holding ANT III Certificate,
* Offshore Captain experinece 3 years as Master in the relevant field
* English and Indonesian profociency
* Good communication
* Demostrated knowledge of computer applications

SAFETY OFICER

Education :

* Marine background, min ANT / ATT III

Previous Experience

* A minimum of two years relevant experience


Prerequisites :

* Good oral & written communication skills in English
* Overall knowledge of marine operations
* Can conduct an accident investigation
* First Aid Level 2 certified


General Duties & Responsibilities :

* Maintain individual employee HSE file which includes sub contractor offshore and vessel crews
* To create and maintain files for or marine HSE activities
* To conduct safety induction on board
* To conduct routine tool box safety meetings for crew onboard
* To ensure PPE is used when required
* To assist with accident reporting and investigation
* To ensure Hot work and confined space Access permits meet the company standard and to ensure compliance with the Harbour Master regulation
* To prepare and conduct HSE onboard Monthly safety Meeting
