In Indonesia, PT Orica Mining Services currently seeks experienced and professional personnel to fill in the following position :


Port Captain [Balikpapan]

Essential Skills/Experience:

The incumbent is responsible to manage safe delivery activities of Class-1 and Class 5.1 products within the Kalimantan ports, as such includes planning and efficient execution of barging as well as multi-modal transportation.



Requirements:

1. S1 degree in Merchant Marine Academy and at minimum hold ANT II certificate.

2. Minimum 4 years of experience in handling vessels operations, at ports as well as sea.

3. Comprehensive understanding on marine and sea transportation rules and regulations.

4. Good command in English, both verbal and written.

5. Good level of computer literacy.

6. Committed to company standards of Safety, Health, Environment and Business Ethics.

7. Possess good communication and interpersonal skill. A resourceful problem solver and tactful negotiator.

8. To be based in Balikpapan and willing to travel extensively particularly within Kalimantan port/locations.

9. Sound knowledge of Import/Export regulations and documentations.

10. Experience of managing vessel’s port activity, working together with port authority and stevedoring companies as well as understanding of customs regulation would be an added advantage.
